Overview
Located at the top end of Melbourne's CBD, the Imperial Hotel offers some of the best city views from its recently refurbished lofty rooftop. It has been around for a while and has become a staple sports bar and pub for city workers and visitors alike.
The pub has revealed a revitalised rooftop, as part of a wider set of improvements across the venue. The bustling open-air space now features a new feature bar, covered areas for guest comfort, fresh styling and furniture, and will be completed shortly with a fully retractable roof.
A refreshed food offering focuses on pub classics, with the rooftop menu featuring share plates and snacks designed for leisurely drinking and socialising. There is always something happening at the lively pub, from daily happy hour to trivia nights, meat raffles to live music, Sunday roasts to rooftop DJ sets.
An always-popular destination for major sporting events, The Imperial will host every match of the 2026 World Cup, screening games live and loud across the venue's multiple screens. To mark the launch of its new rooftop, pop into The Imperial on Wednesday, June 10, between 4 and 6pm and score your first drink on the house using The Pass app.
