Overview

Weekend coffees deserve to be a little bit more special than the average weekday cuppa — especially if there's a birthday to be celebrated. And soon that'll be the case for Collingwood's Into Coffee, which is turning one and marking the occasion by giving out a bunch of free boozy coffees.

From 12–4pm on Saturday, February 11, the minimal-waste cafe will be pouring whiskey-spiked iced lattes — on the house. The concoction is the brainchild of local distillery The Gospel, blending its signature rye spirit with Into Coffee's leftover Industry Bean coffee grinds. You've got a choice of milk, too, with options from Oatly and Schulz Organic Dairy.

The drink is pre-blended and poured using the cafe's Udder Way tap and keg system — the same it uses to pour its milk.

Sister brand Into Carry — known for its bespoke upcycled creations — will also be running giveaways throughout the day. Nab a golden ticket to score goodies like their cult-fave oat milk carton bags, and exfoliator bars crafted from coffee grinds and surplus milk.
