Overview

Spring has sprung, footy season's over and the season of weekend getaways is upon us. And you'll have the chance to dive into the best of one of the state's most celebrated regions, when the Heathcote Food & Wine Festival returns this weekend. On Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, it takes over the Heathcote Showgrounds, about 90 minutes north of Melbourne, offering a flavour-packed tour of regional delights, all in the one spot.

Showing off their wares will be a sprawling lineup of local producers, including over 40 wineries pouring new and limited-release drops for you to sample, sip and buy. You'll catch favourites like Hanging Rock Winery, Sanguine Estate and Tyrrell's, alongside a solid spread of artisan producers and food trucks. Spend the day grazing through gourmet bites from the likes of Heathcote Artisan, Goldfields Farmhouse Cheese, Kyneton Olive Oil and Timboon Ice Cream.

What's more, there'll be live, local tunes from acts like the Erica Hawkey Band, Louie & The Pride and Funk Junkies, and games on the green, making the most of that springtime weather.

You can even splash out on one of the weekend's limited Golden Tickets, which gets you express entry, priority seating, all wine tastings, access to an exclusive pop-up bar stocked with Heathcote Wine Show award-winners, and a gourmet lunch box loaded with local treats by Fodder.
