Overview

Summer's almost here, and with it comes the chance to head out and enjoy the sunshine. So, it's time to start planning some weekend getaways, jam-packed with outdoor activities.

Luckily, just 30 minutes outside of Canberra, is Alpaca Magic, which is home to over 200 alpacas and llamas, as well as donkeys and mini galloway cows. And, on top of being one of Australia's largest llama breeders, the stud offers a bunch of animal experiences and craft workshops that you can take part in.

The farm holds events most weekends so, if you're looking for an excuse to road trip south or just need some time surrounded by fluffy animals, check out the calendar here and see what's coming up. One day, you may be taking llamas for a walk, the next you could make your own fridge magnet or learn how to weave with alpaca and llama wool. Or you could enjoy breakfast while hanging out miniature cows and donkeys.
