A Breathtaking Multimedia Exhibition of Salvador Dali's Work Is Coming to New Zealand This Year
From the team who bought you the ultra-successful 'Van Gogh Alive', this new multimedia exhibit is set to take you on a journey through the life of one of the world's most prolific surrealist artists.
Are you seeking a little creative inspiration or wanting to step into an art experience far beyond just looking at works on a wall? You're in luck.
This year's new multimedia exhibition Inside Dali, showcases the works of surrealist Spanish artist Salvador Dali, and it's set to delight art buffs and cultural novices alike.
The new opening comes from the same crew who brought you last year's ultra-successful Van Gogh Alive exhibition, which sold out during its run in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. This exhibition will once again give viewers the chance to step inside the genius mind of one of the world's most prolific artists.
Immersive multimedia art experience Inside Dali will open at Auckland's Spark Arena on Saturday, May 28 for a limited six-week run, before heading down to Christchurch's Air Force Museum on Monday, July 11.
In this stunning digital exhibition, you'll be able to experience a chronological trip through Dali's life through floor-to-ceiling high-resolution moving images, real-life objects and surround-sound interviews with the man himself. Of particular highlight will be the Divine Comedy room, showcasing Dali's controversial commission of 100 colourful wood engravings illustrating Alighieri's Dante's Inferno, as well as a surreal 360-degree mirror room guaranteed to be a regular feature on your Instagram feed in the coming months.
Arriving in Aotearoa directly from its current home in Florence, Inside Dali was conceived, created, and produced by Italy's C&T Crossmedia team and has been brought to New Zealand by Live Nation.
Live Nation NZ Managing Director Mark Kneebone said in a statement they were "blown away" by the country's response to last year's Van Gogh exhibition, and thinks this one is also set to be "truly something special".
Tickets to both New Zealand shows will go on sale through Live Nation's website at 11am on Friday, April 8, and you'll find further updates about exciting events throughout the exhibition on the official Inside Dali Instagram and Facebook pages.
Inside Dali will show at Auckland's Spark Arena from Saturday, May 11 until Thursday, June 30, before showing in Christchurch's Air Force Museum from Monday, July 11 until Friday, August 26. Tickets for both shows will go on sale 11am on Friday, April 8. More information can be found on the exhibition's official website, or through Live Nation.
