I have slowly gained an addiction to a new series 'Auckland Daze'. Brainchild of Millen Baird (check out his horse racing commentary), the online division at TVNZ are on to something with this latest production.

Following on from the success of TVNZ's Emmy Award-winning digital-only series Reservoir Hill, Auckland Daze enables fans the ability to influence outcomes via interacting on the Auckland Daze Facebook page. The programme is now the highest demanded programme on TVNZ's On-Demand, which points to the bucking trend towards online television series.

Check out the deleted scene below involving one of the main characters Glenjamin (Glen Levy) and his Ninja golf. Hopefully we see more locally produced series coming through to help grow Auckland's struggling entertainment industry (funny considering the plot of Auckland Daze is based around this fact).

New series of Auckland Daze go live on Thursdays at 5pm each week and can be watched here.
