For those of you who've watched way too many virtual reality movies a la Vanilla Sky - or who just those who love their decade-old Wii and wish technology could hurry up and take the leap into virtual reality, we bring good news.

Virtual Reality Studio, New Zealand's first virtual reality studio/entertainment centre has just opened up. The Studio uses  HTC Vive (apparently the best VR headset available in the market today) to take you from sheepishly standing in an empty room with a controller in each hand to an alternative reality.

Virtual realities to choose from at this stage include walking a plank 400 metres above a metropolis and other 'experiences' which the Studio frustratingly only hints at but doesn't describe in detail. You'll have to find out for yourself. We're sure it's good though.
