Cool, urban, casual fashion has always been the name of the game for New Zealand designed label, Ketz-ke who has garnered the interest from woman around the country as well as internationally for their affordable and fashion forward ranges. With over 80 individual pieces in each collection, Ketz-ke’s dynamic designing duo, Jenny Drury and her sister Brenda have cleverly catered for a diverse range of personal styles.

This season Ketz-ke have expanded their ever growing collection even further, and now alongside the effortlessly fashionable casual wear, stylish line of accessories, bags and jewellery comes a mini range of glamour garments under the name of Ketz-ke Black.  “It was an enviable next step for Ketz-ke,” says Jenny. “We wanted to offer our customers the same urban feel but in a more sophisticated context,” she says.

What has proven to be a huge hit since its inception this winter, Ketz-ke Black provides a solution to the drama of what to wear to social outings, especially when the dress code isn’t specified. ‘Ketz-ke Black was an “ah-ha” moment from personal experience,” says Jenny. “It’s a problem every woman has in common, deciding what to wear for a night out,” she says. “Ketz-ke Black solves those problems for you.”

Perhaps it is the combination of casual meets formal that has been the success of Ketz-ke Black, offering a range that bridges the gap between over and under dressing. It can be challenging putting together an outfit that is appropriate for a particular occasion and when its foreign ground, it can be difficult deciphering the dress code and it is these circumstances in which Ketz-ke Black comes to the rescue.

The range features simple silhouettes, delicately draping fabrics all in a very wearable colour palette. Forget the drama of styling and matching, each garment embodies the ready to wear concept, many featuring sequin and ruffle details for a touch of glamour. Possibly the best thing about the range and something that certainly deserves praise, is the perfectly thought out fit, which doesn’t include figure hugging dresses. Eat, drink and be merry on your night out because these relaxed fitting garments will keep you comfortable all night long.

An enjoyable evening starts with feeling comfortable in what you are wearing which usually requires dressing appropriately for the occasion, finding a balance without blending into the crowd is certainly a concept the Ketz-ke Black range seems to have immense comprehension of.

“Getting dressed up should be fun so we wanted to take out the complication that many women struggle with,” says Jenny. Ketz-ke Black is a perfect starting point to combat the fear of the formal, offering a solution that encompasses elements of casualness and glamour. If minimal fuss is your thing you will love the versatility of Ketz-ke Black and the garments ability to evolve from a smart day look into evening appropriate wear. True to the easy-to-wear values of Ketz-ke, Ketz-ke Black is bound to be a wardrobe favourite.
