While most people would associate Parnell's La Cigale with the bustling weekend farmer's market and the abundance of warm pastries, freshly brewed coffee and fine cheeses, it also operates as a bistro in the evenings from Wednesday to Friday, serving large sharing platters of rustic French inspired food.

From Wednesday 11 March, and every fortnight thereafter from 5pm - 9pm, a more casual dining affair will replace the usual three-course event. Set up like the weekend market with the doors open, The Truck Stop will see some of the city's best known food trucks pull up outside, including: po' boy and slider enthusiasts The Roaming Dive, health centric restaurant on wheels The Food Truck, homemade ice cream makers Mooka Artisan Gelato and mouth watering pit smokers Bare Knuckle BBQ (arriving March 25).

La Cigale will also have 2 - 3 different options for dinner and dessert, along with their infamous output of French snacks, cheeses and wine. Diners can turn up whenever they want, eat whatever they like, and sit at the long communal tables wherever they wish.
