The Best Places in Melbourne to Watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup
Catch the big games on the big screens at these local pubs.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup has kicked off in Russia. And the first few days have been filled with upsets and, even, earthquakes. Even those who aren't hardcore soccer fans would've heard rumours of Messi's missed penalty — and Argentina's ensuing draw with underdog Iceland — and Mexico's unexpected win over Germany, which (maybe) led to an earthquake caused by excessive revelry back on home turf.
Australia unfortunately lost its first match to France (in a narrow 2–1 defeat), but we have two more chances to prove ourselves, taking on Denmark and Peru in the following weeks. These are games you don't want to miss, and there's no better place to watch them than in your local pub, pint in hand.
Australia will take on Denmark at 10pm (AEST) Thursday, June 21, and Peru at 12am (AEST) on Wednesday, June 27.
