Kilkenny Witch Trials
Toast to the first woman ever condemned of witchcraft in Ireland with a brew from her namesake Inn in Kilkenny.
Overview
Kilkenny is where Ireland's earliest witch trials took place, with the owner of the historical Kyteler's Inn, Dame Alice Kyteler, the first condemned at trial.
For almost 400 years, the building has operated as an inn, now combining great food and drink with music and interpretative signs exploring the venue's place in occult history. Sip down a Witcher's Brew – a nitro red ale – to pay homage to the woman persecuted by the witch trials.
