Overview

Westport is the ideal base for outdoor adventures. Just a short drive from Croagh Patrick, aka The Reek, this pyramid-shaped mountain has stunning coastal views from the top — and supposedly is where St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, minded some sheep before getting his religious calling.

Then, the Wild Atlantic Sauna on Oldhead Beach is the best way to rest your weary legs.

Back in town, the trad music and relaxed pub atmosphere at Matt Molloy's are unbeatable.
