Sure, the cold season might currently be in full swing in Australia, but here's a trusty reminder that there's plenty of summer fun to look forward to. Just as serious warmth returns, Meredith Music Festival kicks off — with the 2026 ticket ballot now officially open.
And what better way to spend three days and two nights watching one stage from the cherished Sup', aka the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. Held from Friday, December 11–Sunday, December 13, the beloved event is entering its 34th year, and it's sure to be as awesome as ever.

If you've entered the ballot before, you probably know the story. But if it's your first time, here's what you need to know. There are two rounds — one around mid-August and another a week later — but you only have to enter once to hopefully score tickets.
Like previous editions, the first round is available only to existing subscribers, while the second round is open to both new and existing subscribers. Best of all, there are no extra fees to speak of. That includes camping, car passes and BYO everywhere, plus the priceless last-light vibes along Sunset Strip.

Following the ballot, there's still a chance to get tickets through the online sale. In 2026, that's happening at 11am on Thursday, August 27. Just know, it usually sells out in minutes, maybe even seconds, so don't dally if you're keen to call the amphitheatre home for the weekend.
What about the lineup? It lands when the ballot's drawn. Yet, Meredith isn't the kind of festival where attendance is dictated by whoever takes to the stage. However, last year's headliners included TV On The Radio, Atarashii Gakko!, Perfume Genius, Folk Bitch Trio and loads more.

Then, in 2024, Jamie xx, Waxahatchee, Genesis Owusu, Mk.gee, ZAPP, Angie McMahon, The Dare and Glass Beams were just some of the fest's names, while 2023 saw Kraftwerk, Caroline Polachek, Alvvays, Alex G, Eris Drew & Octo Octa and Flowdan keeping the crowd buzzing until sunlight peaks over the horizon.
And as always, the long-standing 'No Dickhead Policy' makes a welcome return, where keeping your head pulled in is firmly encouraged. As the festival says: "If you behave like a dickhead, this place isn't for you. If you have a mate who behaves like a dickhead, please leave them at home."
