We're happy to announce a partnership that we'll be undertaking over the next few months with Play Now Act Now, an arts festival with a slight twist. Play Now Act Now celebrates young creative talent that exists squarely in the digital realm, giving 16 to 25 year old creative kids the chance to shoot, design and write their way to superstardom and riches (all relative, of course). Play Now Act Now's online exhibition space is bristling with ideas that its organisers hope will inspire artists from different disciplines - short film, digital design and microfiction - to rise to the creative challenge. The film is a Metro Screen initiative in conjunction with NSW Health and aims to raise the profile of the role drugs and alcohol play in the lives of young people. The call for entries is now open, with submissions for the first of five month-long competitions running until 27 April. For all festival information head over to www.playnowactnow.com.au
