A little known fact about me from 1997: this was the year I learnt to ollie. So what it was standing still and on grass? I could get a good six inches of 'air'. A second little known fact about me: it is now 2010, and I can still ollie. Standing still. On grass. This obvious lack of skateboarding skill is what makes me so excited about Hack Job, Booooooom' s collaboration with Converse Skateboarding, because you don't have to be good at skating to take part. Hack Job is about making skateboards, not riding them. The best part is that there are no rules. If you feel like it, you can make a functional skateboard. If you don't feel like it, you can carve one out of a bar of soap. Once you've created your gnarly masterpiece all you need to do is take a photo and send it to the radical people at Booooooom. Once you're done, see if you can turn it back into something as wonderful as Haroshi's skateboard sculptures.
