Overview

Apparently there’s some rumour going around that Melburnians like coffee. The attainable, cosmopolitan treat has become a solid (but also liquid) part of Melbourne’s identity in recent times and with amazing cups of joe now standard throughout our fair city, why shouldn’t it be?

This weekend, find out what all the fuss is about at the 2013 Melbourne International Coffee Expo. Coinciding with the end of Good Beer Week, zap that hangover by tasting some of the world’s best coffee, watching demonstrations (including the finals of the World Barista Championships), learning more about the bittersweet brown liquid in a series of workshops and activities and if you’re not shaking too much from a caffeine overdose, trying your hand at latte art.

Open to the general public from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, MICE2013 will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to become the perfect Melbourne coffee snob. Was that cold drip or single origin?

Not recommended for the highly-strung.
