Overview

After a few tough years, the festival scene is bouncing back. On the agenda this November is A3 — a three-day, multifaceted experience shaped by considered raving, tech-augmented art and spatial design. After a sold-out inaugural edition, Lardner Park is once again hosting this new breed of music festival from Friday, November 28–Monday, December 1.

Set 75 minutes southeast of Melbourne in the heart of Gippsland, this rural retreat features over 60 artists across the dance floor and immersive art installations. This year's festival is headlined by local-born star Mall Grab, who is making a long-awaited homecoming after carving up stages across Europe with his brand of rave-ready outsider house and techno.

Meanwhile, London-based duo Gorgon City are bringing their chart-adjacent dance music to the party, with their big room anthems like 'Ready for Your Love' mixed with underground rhythms. Then you've also got Northern Ireland raver Mark Blair, high-energy house soundscapes from UK producer and recent Mall Grab collaborator Effy, and much more.

Nocturnal moving and shaking might be the focus at A3, but the festival brings balance to the tech-driven grooves. Think grassy campgrounds and natural amphitheatres set against a warehouse-style stage ripe for a journey that blurs the boundaries between sound, visual form, architecture and audience. General release tickets go on sale at 12pm on Thursday, July 24.
