Overview

Cult rock bands have been altering people’s lives for centuries. KISS, Grateful Dead, Iggy Pop, The Rolling Stones...we could go on. Big Star, a Memphis quartet comprised of Alex Chilton, Chris Bell, Andy Hummel and Jody Stephens have been said to be one of the first and best cult rock bands.

Their 1972 debut album was received with unprecedented excitement from the few who heard it, but distribution problems with their record label meant it never received the widespread success it deserved. Follow Drew DeNicola’s interpretation of the Big Star journey Big Star – Nothing Can Hurt Me and experience previously unseen music, studio footage and photographs that will make you fall in love with Big Star all over again, or perhaps for the very fist time.
