A giant homage to all things plant-based is coming to Melbourne this spring, with the much-anticipated return of the Big Vegan Market. After a pandemic-fuelled hiatus, the market is set to descend once more on Carlton's Royal Exhibition Building from Saturday, May 7–Sunday, May 8.

The brainchild of Melbourne Vegan Eats, the two-day affair will showcase a hefty lineup of over 200 vendors, slinging a wide range of food and drinks, fashion, beauty, accessories, homewares, pantry staples and more. Shop favourite brands and products, and unearth some new must-haves, all under one roof and for a very reasonable entry fee of $5.

The weekend's full lineup is still being finalised, though if past editions are anything to go by, this market will leave you completely spoilt for choice. And with some very satisfied tastebuds, no less. Previous stallholders have included the likes of apparel and lifestyle label Velvety, quirky accessories brand Jubly-Umph, Larrykin Dog Treats, Deadly Sins Cosmetics, dumpling masters Pierogi Pierogi and Collingwood-born vegan pizzeria Red Sparrow.
