Jackalope Pavilion in St Kilda is not only home to immersive weather-inspired installation Rain Room, but also a pop-up Victorian outpost of famed Sydney pastry joint Black Star. And not only are the pair now happily shacked up together on Acland Street, they're also joining forces for an experiential celebration of art and food on Saturday, March 21. It's a Melbourne Food and Wine Festival event that's really a feast for all the senses.

For this event, you'll first get a taste of the Rain Room experience, which features a dark room filled with constant rainfall that you can walk through while staying completely dry.

Then, it's on to some sweet sensations from Black Star, including a serve of "the world's most Instagrammed cake" — the cult favourite, signature Strawberry Watermelon Cake. You'll get to eat on this much-photographed dessert, along with another exclusive Black Star creation inspired by Rain Room itself.
