Overview

Move aside, Basque cheesecake — there's a new cult dessert dish that's arrived in Melbourne and people are flocking to get their fix. Introducing, Chic de Partie's boozy brioche: a fluffy pull-apart dessert creation, featuring buttery brioche that's been topped with sugar, baked until golden brown and served swimming in rich, booze-infused sauce.

Michelin-trained pastry chef Aidan Robinson has had locals fawning over all his artisan sweet treats on Instagram for months now; with offerings ranging from macarons and Portuguese tarts, to elegant celebration cakes and towering croquembouche. But his signature boozy brioche has proved so popular, Robinson's now released a supercharged chocolate version in time for Father's Day.

While all of this week's orders have already been snapped up, the indulgent chocolate boozy brioche will now be available throughout September, both for delivery and click-and-collect from the CBD. Each one is big enough to serve up to six hungry dessert fiends, clocking in at $100. That said, as a sweet incentive for getting the jab, Chic de Partie is offering a 10-percent discount off this particular dessert for anyone who can show proof they've had — or are booked in for — a COVID-19 vaccination. To order, shoot Chic de Partie a DM via Instagram.
