Courage to Kill — Public Front
An intriguing three-hander from one of Europe's most celebrated playwrights.
Overview
The work of one of Europe's most critically acclaimed playwrights is on its way to La Mama Theatre in Carlton. Presented by Public Front as part of La Mama's season of Nordic Noir, Courage to Kill is a mind-twisting thriller by Swedish writer Lars Noren, in which simmering tensions between a father and son are ignited by the arrival of the latter's alluring girlfriend.
Although little known in Australia, Noren is widely regarded as one of Sweden's top writers. His work is often concerned with dysfunctional family dynamics – something that is certainly on display in this intriguing three-hander. The season at La Mama features actors Stephen House, Luke Mulquiney and Tamara Natt, and is due to run from July 6 to 17.
