Melbourne's west is fast developing a reputation for having some of the finest food venues and cultural experiences in the city. Celebrating the best of the west, Eat Drink Westside is an 11-day festival demonstrating the community's diverse flavours and people. Presented as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2020, the program features 17 delicious events ranging from laneway parties and bottomless brunches to twilight markets and hefty banquets.

The events span a wide range of cuisines from all over the world, too. There's A Night in Beirut, serving up Lebanese food at Moonee Ponds' Bekka — plus French Flavours, Small French Bar's seven-course food and wine feast. At Gojo Ethiopian Cafe and Restaurant, you can enjoy Ethiopian, North Indian and Vietnamese dishes while embracing Sunshine's cultural and gastronomic diversity. And the St Albans twilight market will be showcasing food from across the globe as well.

Elsewhere, Copper Pot Seddon is joining forces with Luxsmith for a laneway party, Up in Smoke is celebrating smokey meat with its own party, and the Plough Hotel is combining duck dishes with pints and pinot. The Royal Victorian Motor Yacht Club is putting on a boozy brunch — with unlimited prosecco — and dairy festival Fromage a Trois also forms part of the program.

It all happens across the western suburbs, running from Thursday, March 19, to Sunday, March 29.
