Overview
Lapalux aka Stuart Howard is from Essex. If you’ve ever watched The Only Way is Essex you will get that this is kind of amazing, sort of like how Iggy Azalea came out of the rolling acres of Mullumbimby in regional NSW. The 25-year-old electronic music prodigy is currently the only British artist to be signed to the LA-based label Brainfeeder, the result of a spontaneous email by Howard that was returned with a personal response from Flying Lotus himself. So I guess Lapalux is kind of like electronic music’s answer to the self made YouTube success story of Justin Bieber? He has the beautiful bone structure and serious swagu to further substantiate the comparison.
This Saturday night’s one off show will be supported by local acts Silent Jay, Fugitive and Nam.
