Overview
One of the only things better than sitting down to a sumptuous multi-course dinner is doing so knowing that you're helping out a great cause at the same time. And that's the sort of feel-good dining you're in for when Feast to Feed takes over The Great Hall at the NGV for one flavour-packed night from 6–11pm on Saturday, June 20.
Bringing the event to life is a lineup of local culinary legends, who are donating their time in the kitchen to do what they do best and help raise funds for Alex Makes Meals — a renowned Melbourne-based charity that provides meals for those battling food insecurity. With a mission to raise $150,000, all proceeds support the organisation's kitchen operations, which produce 4100 meals every week, distributed through a network of 50 partner charities.
Held for the third time, the 2026 event's lineup is star-studded with chefs, restaurateurs and TV personalities, including Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan, Emilia Jackson, Nat Thaipun and Andrea Vignali (Al Dente Enoteca). Plus, food journalist turned MasterChef judge Sofia Levin will take on the role of MC for the night. For guests, expect each chef to serve a signature dish, matched with top-shelf wines from Yarra Yering, Rob Dolan Wines and TarraWarra, among others. Priced at $275 per ticket, the cost of this multi-course feast also includes drinks and a goody bag.
"This is our third Feast to Feed gala, and the biggest one yet, in a new, larger location at the NGV," says Alex Makes Meals founder Alex Dekker, who launched the charity at just 20 years old. "We're so grateful to the chefs who donate their time, expertise and profile to the event, creating a genuinely unique food and wine experience for guests."
