Overview

Garlic bread — representing the holy trinity of bread, garlic, and butter — is something created by the gluten gods to make us mortals (except coeliacs, of course) very, very happy. Welcome to Thornbury is aware of this, as you'll discover when it delivers a whole day devoted to your fave carbohydrate situation, returning with the fourth instalment of its beloved Garlic Bread Festival.

Taking over the food truck park's High Street digs on Saturday, April 29, the event's set to plate up many nods to the classic OG garlic bread, along with genius hybrid options loaded with cheese and bacon, paired with Mexican-style toppings and more. There'll also be garlic bread-inspired sips, desserts and other snacks to sink your teeth into, plus an exclusive pilsner brew made by 4 Pines for the occasion.

You can have a go at playing Garlic Bread Bingo by marking off drinks and dishes as you feast your way through the festival, and if you and your mates are speedy snackers, the Garlic Bread Eating Relay will put you through your paces. Prizes up for grabs include limited-edition hoodies and, for one lucky punter, an entire keg of beer to be enjoyed from the bar.

Entry is free, though you can book a table online to ensure a front-row seat to all the carby deliciousness.
