Calling all wine lovers (so basically, everyone). After the grand success of Into The Valley in 2023, the 'Into' series of wine-tasting events returns to Collingwood in the form of Into The Vines. The latest iteration will happen on Valentine's Day, but it isn't exclusively for loved-up couples. The Into Coffee crew are keen for people to rock up with mates or just pop over for a solo date — this means that the romantic theatrics will be at a minimum.

Like past Into The Vines events, this version will showcase small-batch wines from five Victorian wineries. Drops from In Two Minds, Rouleur Wine Co, Athletes of Wine and Hesket Estate will all feature in the tasting portion of the event, which will cost punters an easy $15.

During this, you'll have the chance to meet the winemakers, learn about their wines and taste some truly unique drops — all while enjoying the company of other Melbourne wine enthusiasts.

Into the Vines - Valentine's Day

There's two time slots available at 6–7.30pm and 7.30–9pm, with a limit of 90 people per session, so get in quick if you want to reserve a spot. You can choose to just rock up for the tasting portion of the night or also join a totally unique gelato-and-wine pairing masterclass.

For this, Melbourne's Hareruya Pantry will provide five of its gelato flavours, and wine producer and academic Dr Alastair Reed will choose the pairing wines. He'll also run the 45-minute masterclass, showing how wine (not only dessert wine) can be paired with a lot more than your usual savoury eats.

Who said you had to spend Valentine's Day alone in bed, drinking wine and scoffing down a tub of ice cream (Bridget Jones style)? Why not do it with mates in Collingwood instead?
