Maha's $15 Bowls of Goodness
Returning for a second year, this fancy winter special is making your midday feed cheaper and more convenient.
Overview
Whether you're a Maha regular or have yet to experience the Melbourne icon, Shane Delia's Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant has a winter lunch special bound to prompt a visit. Running daily from 12–3 p.m. until Sunday, August 31, a rotating lineup of $15 'Bowls of Goodness' hits the menu every week, perfect for an affordable lunch or high-end takeaway option.
Returning after a successful debut in 2024, the special is bigger and better than ever before, running for a full 12 weeks and adding takeaway to the deal. With each bowl crafted by a Maha kitchen team member, the series showcases each chef's gastronomic inspiration, from varied regional cuisine and travel experiences to personal memories.
"We were blown away by the reception to Bowls of Goodness last year," says Shane Delia. "To keep up with the demand, this year we're making it even more accessible by offering the bowls for takeaway, so that more people can enjoy a really high-quality, flavour-packed lunch, whether they have time to dine in or need to grab something on the go."
The Bond Street restaurant is kicking things off with a comforting Malaysian coconut curry laksa, featuring egg noodles, snake beans and poached chicken. Dishes served later in the season include a burnt tomato and chipotle-braised wagyu, a Jimbaran grilled chicken with fragrant rice, and a lamb and kimchi stew with butternut mash and grilled Swiss chard.
