Is there anything more glorious than the humble chip? Whether you prefer fries or wedges, shoestring or crinkle-cut, plain or chicken salt — once you start, all you want to do is keep munching.

Luckily, at Melbourne Food & Wine Festival's Maximum Chips event, you won't have to stop. For one potato-filled night at Shed E in Queen Victoria Market, chips are the only thing on the menu. Eat to your greasy heart's content, with all-you-can-devour crinkle-cut spuds, classic shoestring, French fries and fluffy potato gems from 5–7pm or 7.45–9.45pm on Friday, August 20.

Your $35 ticket includes multiple varieties of chips and as much of each as you can handle — plus sauces and other condiments, of course. You'll also receive a drink upon arrival, but bring your card to purchase more as it's a cashless event. Entertainment is on the agenda too, while you're scoffing down all those primo potato pieces.
