Overview

If you've got a penchant for pancakes no matter what shape or form, then all your Christmases are about to come at once. Legacy Hospitality Group is getting into the spirit of Pancake Tuesday with a whole week of pancake specials being served up by three of its Melbourne venues.

Available from Monday, February 20–Sunday, February 26, this sweet little lineup has something for all palates. First, you've got South Yarra's House of Lulu White dishing up two savoury pancake dishes ($24). One's a take on the Japanese okonomiyaki finished with kewpie mayo and fried shallots, while the other riffs on a Vietnamese bánh xèo, as stuffed with prawns and paired with house-made sweet chilli sauce.

Meanwhile, Hawthorn East cafe Rumour Has It is whipping up bite-sized Dutch poffertjes, which you can have topped with maple-glazed stone fruit and whipped mascarpone ($23), or a chilli-infused chorizo scramble with Asian herbs ($24.50).

And at the Hamptons Bakery, you've also got a couple of options. Transport yourself to the USA with a fat stack of sweet pancakes loaded with caramelised stone fruit and salted caramel popcorn ($23). Or take your tastebuds on a trip to Normandy as you dig into a savoury eggs benedict-style creation starring beef brisket and hollandaise ($24.50).
