Overview

Australian Dance Theatre, one of the longest running companies in the country, is known for its intelligent works and ability to engage audiences on many levels.

Proximity, one of the current works is a collaboration between Garry Stewart (Artistic Director) and Paris-based video engineer Thomas Pachoud. The investigation into the body and the way it interacts with the world incorporates dance and video as the nine performers film each other throughout the performance and project and distort the product live on stage.

The performance as a whole is said to question the notion of the body and our everyday comprehension of it.
