Rosé Evolution
The Yarra Valley's region-wide celebration of rosé is serving up a pretty-in-pink program of tastings, picnics, parties and more.
Overview
If you've got a thing for pink-hued vino, the Yarra Valley has plenty of goodness in store for you this month. The winemaking region's annual spring wine festival Rosé Evolution returns this week, kicking off a nine-day celebration of locally crafted rosé.
Running from Saturday, November 20–Sunday, November 28, the festival is set to deliver a hefty program of tastings, parties, picnics, feasts and more. It all starts with an afternoon launch event at the Healesville Hotel, where guests will have the chance to sample rosé varieties and skin-contact wines from the likes of Oakridge, Zonzo Estate, Giant Steps and De Bortoli, alongside live tunes and snacks.
Elsewhere in the program, you'll find rosé-fuelled spring garden picnics at venues including Sutherland Estate, Copperhead Wines and Yering Station; a rosé tasting flight at Rob Dolan that digs right into the drink's history; and a chic pop-up oyster bar in the Giant Steps cellar door courtyard.
For something special, book in for the festival's high tea experience, which'll whisk you away to a secret location for an afternoon of elegant eats and rosé-infused sips in your own gorgeous private igloo. And if you want to really up the ante, you can take to the skies in a hot air balloon for an exclusive sky-high wine tasting tour.
