Overview

If come January you find yourself stuck in the city battling the inevitable post-holiday blues, consider Sunset Sounds one of your summertime saviours. The free concert series is returning for one jam-packed evening of live tunes, descending on Prahran's Victoria Gardens on Sunday, January 23.

On the soul-heavy bill is a cracking mix of homegrown musical talent, best enjoyed from the comfort of your picnic blanket. Kicking off the evening's sonic delights from 5pm will be a lush set from PBS DJ Elle Young. Then, unwind to soulful sounds from ARIA Award-winning neo-soul star Kaiit, legendary Far North Queensland trio Izy, and winner of the 2020 the Archie Roach Foundation Award, Kee'ahn.

To back the openair tunes and barefoot dance moves, you can pack a picnic basket — or, grab some grub from one of the nearby eateries, including Small Print Pizza, Fourth Chapter and Morning Market.
