Overview
For this week's dose of retro entertainment, boogie on over to The Night Cat this Friday night for the Fitzroy Roller Jam, presented by legendary Melbourne event organisers the Foreign Brothers.
If the previous jams hosted by these guys at Melbourne Music Week in 2014 and 2015 are anything to go by, this will be one hell of a party. With a lineup featuring the likes of Prequel, Animal Feelings and Sugar Fed Leopards, your old-school skating moves will be sufficiently soundtracked well into the wee hours of the morning.
BYO skates or hire a pair on the night for $5, and if you're not the most confident skater, rest assured that members of the Victorian Roller Derby League will be around to teach you a few tricks. Otherwise just fake it till you make it — falling over is part of the fun.
