The Interrobang: A Festival of Questions
Two days of very intriguing questions.
Overview
What's more important: asking the right questions, or finding the right answer? The Wheeler Centre's latest festival has instructed us to 'wonder hard' and submit questions for public exploration. The questions and topics have now been chosen, and audience members will explore the plethora of potential answers with a little help from the Brains Trust. Some of the inquisitive minds that will grapple with these questions include TV host Alan Brough, writer Benjamin Law, chef Adam Liaw, leading feminist writer Anne Summers, and artist and boxer Abdul Abdullah.
Of course, there will be an attempt at answering the big questions like ‘Why be good?’, ‘How does the world end?’ and ‘Are words more important than actions?’. However, the festival is a celebration of all questions, even slightly more trivial ones such as ‘Why are people nicer on your birthday?’, ‘Why are so may people intimidated by poetry, but love song lyrics?’ and our personal fave: ‘What’s the difference between a muffin and a cupcake?’. Enlightenment awaits, folks — or at the very least some intriguing conversations are waiting to be had.
