Overview

Following the success of The Big Design Market, The Big Design Group is introducing its newest initiative: The Little Food Market. Top tastemakers from across Australia will gather at the Royal Exhibition Building for one weekend, spotlighting artisanal goods and homewares during this three-day event.

On Friday, July 19, to Sunday, July 21, drop in to see artwork by Alice Oehr as you sample products that champion sustainability and a connection to the land, including organic cheeses, oils, honey and preserves. There'll also be producers showcasing their own wine, craft beer and spirits, alongside stalls selling dining-related homewares, such as picnic baskets, ceramics and tableware.

If all the browsing gets you hungry, leading chefs will be on hand at the venue preparing a special culinary experience, which you can enjoy between demonstrations and tastings on the main stage. Renowned bartender Orlando Marzo (of Loro Cocktails), award-winning cheesemaker Giorgio Linguanti (of That's Amore Cheese), and fermentation master Sharon Flynn are among the experts taking the stage.

Experience some of Melbourne's thriving culinary culture and standout Aussie producers at The Little Food Market. The event will run from 11am–9pm on Friday, July 19, 10am–7pm on Saturday, July 20, and 10am–5pm to Sunday, July 21. Tickets start from $19 and early-bird tickets are now on sale at the website.
