UPDATE: MARCH 16, 2020 — The Other Art Fair has decided to postpone its upcoming Melbourne fair 'in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation'. New dates are yet to be announced, but we'll be sure to keep you updated. If you like your art contemporary, independent and far from boring, a big serve of eye-candy coming your way from Thursday, May 21 to Sunday, May 24. The Other Art Fair returns to Kensington events space The Facility, delivering a dynamic curation of installations, performance, music, workshops and art tours.
A far cry from what you might once have expected from an art fair, the Saatchi Art event showcases works from over 120 contemporary artists. While the 2020 program is yet to be finalised, previous events have included the likes of live tattoo art, interactive art installations, 3D printing workshops and virtual reality. The fair is also a great introduction into the art world for new collectors with original pieces starting from just $100.
And, of course, there'll be pop-up bars and eateries, plus a selection of intimate dining experiences on offer, too. Check back in for more info soon.
