Transitions Film Festival 2017
Australia's showcase of socially-conscious cinema returns to our screens.
Overview
The big screen is going green at the sixth annual Transitions Film Festival, Australia's leading showcase of socially-conscious cinema. In Melbourne from February 16 to March 3, this year's festival lineup is jam-packed with deep-diving documentaries about some of the biggest social, environmental and geopolitical issues facing the world today.
Standout films include A Plastic Ocean, about the harmful effects of plastic on marine life; Riverblue, a look at the disastrous environmental cost of the global fashion industry; and Power to Change, which chronicles the fight by German activists and entrepreneurs for a more energy efficient future.
