Overview

The winter solstice is almost here, and that can only be a good thing for those who like their weather a little warmer and brighter. However, before sunny days return, East Brunswick Village is celebrating this seasonal turning point with a special two-day community event from Saturday, June 20–Sunday, June 21, and everyone is invited.

Featuring many of the precinct's most beloved traders and venues, EBV's main walkway — Bluestone Way — will be transformed on day one into a visual wonderland. Think projections of all shapes and sizes, spanning geometric imagery, fire graphics, and abundant colour that bring a whole new element to this community space.

Plus, this winter solstice experience comes complete with a host of one-off bites and sips from residents. Highlights include a Bridge Road Brewers fire pit for roasting High Country chestnuts, paired perfectly with a dark beer. Hagen's Organics butcher will serve a spicy sausage of the month, and Lebanese-leaning Rumi offers a hearty lamb Harira soup.

Then, Korean restaurant Dodam serves two types of bungeoppangs, Fomo Cinemas pours decadent Moonlight Cocoa, and Siconi Gelato has dog-friendly scoops. With Music in Exile DJs Yus.f and Sheidite, alongside a live set from Ashkan Shafiei, providing tunes throughout the evening, the following day features a winter market jam-packed with knitted and woollen goods.
