Overview

Now that winter is back, morning frost and all, it takes more than a little effort to climb out of bed early and scoot down to your local market. However, the return of the CERES Winter Twilight Market means you can still relish that cosy sleep-in and make the most of the cooler months.

Held on the first and third Saturday of the month from 12pm–6pm— upcoming dates include July 18, August 1 and August 15 — this picturesque stretch of the Merri Creek will feature over 30 stalls, showcasing handcrafted goods from Melbourne makers spanning creative homewares to sustainable pantry staples.

Meanwhile, the much-loved Merri Café is also staying open later on market days, ensuring you can enjoy its seasonal evening menu alongside local beer, wine and warming winter drinks, including mulled wine, as you wander the stalls.

"Winter doesn't have to mean staying indoors," says market organiser Samantha Hulls. "The Twilight Market is about creating a place where people can gather, eat well, support local makers and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outside together."
