MECCA Bourke Street's in-house natural medicine clinic (yes, it's one of the seven concepts in the flagship) is bringing a new wellness ritual to town. From Sunday, October 4, The Melbourne Apothecary will be hosting The Sunday Reset at HYDE Melbourne Place. The 12-week series is designed as an intentional slow-down within the city – think breathwork and brunch – with 35 spots up for grabs each session till Sunday, December 20. Begin with a 45-minute guided breathwork class in the boutique hotel's lofty, light-filled Emerald Room. Led by Carly Woods, a certified Buteyko practitioner and naturopath from The Melbourne Apothecary, it's a low-effort start to the day with yoga mats, pillows, eye masks, and even blankets on hand. Afterwards, head up to one of Melbourne's prettiest rooftop bars, Cleo, for barista-made coffee and brunch with an Eastern Mediterranean spin. Expect a spread of the bar's morning offering, including spiced baklava granola and avocado toast dressed up in hazelnut dukkah, labneh and fennel. Extra pampering comes in the form of 24k gold ear seeding, an acupuncture technique where seeds are applied to pressure points to promote benefits ranging from stress relief to hormonal balance. The add-on costs an extra $25. The Sunday Reset runs from 10am–12pm. Tickets cost $79 each.
