SO/ Auckland knows a thing or two about Michelin-starred chefs. The property's head chef Marc de Passorio ran acclaimed French restaurant L'Esprit de la Violette before relocating to run the kitchen at Harbour Society. He brings European flair to the restaurant 15 floors up with a menu starring smoke-filled crayfish domes, vodka-soaked marshmallows and mushroom ravioli. From 30 September to 5 October, 2019, Harbour Society will host six Michelin-starred chefs from across the globe. Flying in for the SO/ Amazing Chefs series are Michel Portos (2-Michelin starred from Marseille), Yusuke Goto (1-Michelin starred from Tokyo), Geoffrey Poesson (1-Michelin starred from St Maxime), Julian Diaz (1-Michelin starred from Marseille) and Jean Francois Berard (1-Michelin starred from La – Cadieve D'Azur), alongside SO/ Auckland's Marc de Passorio. The program includes a series of multi-course dining experiences across lunch and dinner, cooking masterclasses and a 12-hand dinner featuring all of the visiting chefs. Prices start at $35 per person for a two-course lunch and stretch all the way up to $275 per person for the headlining six-course dinner with wine pairings. Bookings can be made via so-auckland.com.
