Coburg's community hangout, Gemini Wine Bar, is celebrating the astrological season of Gemini with a month of wine, astrology, art and more. Inspired by the venue owners, Tresna Lee and Shane Farrell, both of whom are Geminis, Gemini Season at the wine bar has become an annual celebration of the venue's core values — curiosity, community, conversation, hospitality, and fun.
"Gemini Season is our love letter to Coburg, a month of experiences that are genuinely hard to find anywhere else. We've brought together winemakers, artists, astrologers, and tea practitioners, and let them do what they do best inside our space," says Tresna.
Between May 21 and June 21, Gemini Wine Bar will host a diverse calendar of events, including tea ceremonies, needlepoint workshops, free community tastings, large-scale parties, and intimate winemaker dinners. Embracing its namesake star sign, the events are intended to capture the playfulness, creativity, and curiosity of the astrological season.
One of the headline events is the Astro Supper Club with Kristy Gray on June 3. Kirsty Gray specialises in precision-based strategy, aiming to align decisions with divine timing. If you can secure a spot, you'll get to savour a four-course astrology-led dinner exploring the energy of the Gemini.
The biggest event of the month is the Gemini Season Party held on June 5. "The Gemini Party on the 5th of June is the centrepiece, it's our annual celebration and a chance for us to celebrate our actual birthday (Tresna is the 25th and Shane is the 26th of May) with our community."
There are many other intriguing events lined up for the Gemini Season, with bookings open now. In addition to the many events, there will be a series of limited-edition seasonal offerings, including Bougie Happy Hour with oysters, champagne, and cocktails; the Mercury Rx signature cocktail; and birthday offers for groups of Geminis dining throughout the season.
