Overview
At the start of 2023 the Ritz-Carlton Melbourne was unveiled in all its luxurious 80-storey glory.
The 257-room hotel is a high-end affair, with renowned Aussie architecture firm Cottee Parker behind the build and BAR Studio to thank for the classically elegant interiors.
Here, they've flipped the script on the usual hotel formula and it's designed to be experienced from the top down; the guest rooms and suites are located on floors 65 to 79, with the impressive Sky Lobby Reception way up on Level 80, where guests are met with lofty ceilings and huge windows offering panoramic views.
Rooms continue to invite in epic views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. The interiors feature hand-made glass panels, dark timber and gold finishes, while artworks pay tribute to the city location and the area's Indigenous heritage. Splash out to stay in the enormous Ritz-Carlton Suite, and you'll enjoy your own in-room sauna, walk-in wardrobe and private pantry.
There are three on-site venues to satisfy guests: Atria is the innovative fine diner celebrating hyper-seasonality, Cameo is the glam cocktail bar promising top-shelf sipping, and the Lobby Lounge is the more casual counterpart that'll also play host to high tea sessions. All these sit at the top of the hotel, showcasing eye-popping views across the city.
Of course, with all that luxury, there had to be a standout wellness offering involved — and the Ritz-Carlton Spa does not to disappoint. Here, you'll find six treatment rooms and a substantial menu of therapies, as well as a soaring infinity pool, yoga studio and fitness hub.
