Overview

Rising Festival is just around the corner, and the final 2026 program additions have just been announced. While some of the events are large-scale, including public art programs, one of the recently announced pop-ups is particularly tiny. Enter, the world's smallest ramen-ya.

Set to launch at Federation Square is Sapporo Supper Club: Chīsai, billed as the world's smallest ramen-ya. So, how small is small? Well, this intimate and rare dining experience seats just two diners.

Guests will begin their experience in The Waiting Room, where Sapporo Beer Sensei Shimo-san will be pouring the difficult-to-source Sapporo Black and Sapporo Premium Lager. With accompanying snacks by Mr Miyagi, The Waiting Room itself becomes part of the experience.

Guests will then enter the minimalist two-seater space to dine on Hokkaido-style ramen in 30-minute sittings. This is set to be one of the festival's most exclusive experiences, as strictly limited spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

And we haven't even got to the best part yet. Not only is this sure to be one of the more unique dining experiences you've had in recent times, but the ramen is also free.
