Overview

Fico Carlton has opened its doors at the newly launched Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton, overlooking Lincoln Square. The contemporary Italian diner is named for the Moreton Bay fig trees that frame the park, a testament to how much the new venue is influenced by its Carlton location.

Fico is grounded in Carlton's historic Italian heritage, which is shaped by family-run grocers and neighbourhood cafes, where groups gravitate to generous, shared meals and the warmth of familiarity.

The menu is driven by quality produce — find charcuterie cured in-house, handcrafted pastas with slow-cooked lamb shank or confit crab and sofrito. Hearty shared plates include the likes of a half-roasted chicken, veal Cotoletta, and fire-cooked Barramundi served with Caponata. The $75 Feed Me menu offers a snapshot of the menu highlights and makes group dining seamless.

Executive Chef Patrick Chung says, "Tableside service brings a different energy to the room. It creates a moment, slows things down and allows for a more personal connection between the guest and the team. We want Fico to be a place where everyone feels at home, whether dining alone for a quiet breakfast or celebrating a special occasion with a big group."
