Collingwood's Green Burger is one of those places where you'll feel the need to constantly check that you're actually eating something vegan. From a glance, the burgers look like your typical greasy feed from the local takeaway joint — but, rest assured, Green Burger is proudly 100-percent plant based. It's serving up not-so-dirty burgs, burritos, loaded fries, mac 'n' trees, tenders and shakes.
Sometimes all you need is a good simple mock meat chicken burger in all its golden glory. Enter, The Colonel. Between two halves of a potato bun sits a homemade, soy-based southern style chick'n patty, plus lettuce, pickles and a homemade sour sauce. It's a simple meal that'll only take you a quick series of bites to finish it off and for just $10.90, it would be rude not to.
To drink, Green Burger serves kombucha, a few different Bundaberg drinks and house-made sodas — plus Butterbing cookies for dessert.
