Overview

As this southside takeaway joint proclaims on its website: "burgers fix everything". While we know that's hyperbole, it certainly can't hurt to try it.

Chapel Street's Hello Sam serves up all the classics (try the Simply Sam with beef, lettuce, tomato, onion and Hello Sam sauce, $11.50 or add American cheese for $2) as well as options for those who like things a little spicy — including the Spicy Sam has chilli-basted beef, jalapeños and chipotle mayo, and is topped with a jalapeño popper ($15.50).

For those on a plant-based diet, feast your eyes on the Sloppy Joe, which is as hearty of a dish as it sounds. A vegan brioche bun comes filled with vegan beef, vegan cheese and chilli mince — to really give it some meat (so to say) — along with lettuce for a hint of freshness and then jalapeños and Sriracha mayo for a bit of a kick. All for $17.

Plus, the venue is now serving a range of vegan loaded fries options, including a vegan HSP and chilli fries if you feel like going all out. Elsewhere on the menu, you'll find a couple of meaty salads, southern and Korean fried chicken pieces and handmade choc tops.
