Overview

Set among the verdant vines and lush gardens of Red Hill estate Lancemore Lindenderry, The Dining Room pairs warm hospitality and thoughtfully designed interiors with a menu that champions hyperlocal seasonal produce.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Nick McGonigal — whose CV includes stints at London's three-Michelin-starred The Ledbury, local favourites Cecconi's, Society and two-hatted Sydney institution Bentley Restaurant + Bar — the refined menu blends classic European technique with bold, Modern Australian flair.

Dishes demonstrate McGonigal's technical prowess and creativity, with a menu that changes with the seasons. It might include the likes of abrolhos scallop with XO sauce and scallop roe; homemade tagliatelle with tarragon, confit yolk, leek, and caprinella; or roast quail crown stuffed with chicken liver and wild mushrooms, smoked tableside with rosemary. Diners can choose between a curated tasting menu or a considered à la carte selection available on weekdays, complemented by a wine program featuring over 180 local and international labels, including Lindenderry's own award-winning drops and a handy by-the-glass menu.

The dining room itself is the vision of Melbourne interiors studio Hecker Guthrie, and channels a timeless, quiet luxury that feels intimate and effortlessly refined with its use of natural materials and understated earthy tones — not to mention the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sweeping views of the estate's rolling vineyards.
