Flume and Peking Duk Lead the First Lineup for Bay Dreams 2021
In anticipation of the trans-Tasman bubble, organisers have secured a string of acts from across the ditch.
The slump after New Year's Eve can be brutal — 12 months is just far too long to wait for another blowout on the dance floor. Luckily, that's where Bay Dreams comes in. The music festival will once again carry the shenanigans into the new year with its sixth outing on January 3, 2021.
Following last year's sold out event featuring Halsey and Tyler the Creator, Bay Dreams will once again be held at Mount Maunganui's Trustpower Baypark Stadium. The South Island edition is set to take place in Nelson at Trafalgar Park on January 5.
In anticipation of the trans-Tasman bubble, organisers have secured a string of acts from across the ditch. Leading the first lineup announcement for 2021 are Grammy Award-winning producer Flume, drum and bass trio Pendulum with their new live project 'Trinity', and high-energy DJ duo Peking Duk.
Also flying in across international waters will be vocalist and producer George Maple in her festival debut, Melbourne rap group HP Boyz, and indie-electronic songwriter Nyxen. Flying the flag for New Zealand will be chart-topping reggae band L.A.B, in-demand beatmaker Montell2099, electro-pop duo Sachi, and hip hop collective Home Brew.
